What We Do for Companies
Japan Trails is a private guiding company in Tokyo, run by TABICO LLC. Most of our days are with visiting families. What makes those days work is also what business visitors need: a plan made before you land, one guide who stays with you all day, and someone who can make the phone call in Japanese.
1. A private day between meetings
You are in Tokyo for a conference or a week of meetings and have a free morning, an afternoon or one clear day. We plan it around your schedule: Asakusa and the old town, a tea ceremony, a food walk, or a day by private car to Mt. Fuji, Hakone or Kamakura. Partners and children are welcome, on the same day or on a day of their own.
2. Company and site visits
Visiting shops, factories, restaurants or local businesses to see how things are done in Japan? We plan the route between visits, meet you at the hotel, get you there on time by train or car, and help with the conversation on the day. Through TABICO, our parent company, we already work with local restaurants, workshops and small inns, so we know how these places like to be approached.
3. A day out for a small team
A half or full day for a leadership team or a small group after an offsite: Tokyo on foot with a tea ceremony and a long lunch, or a day out of the city. We design it around what the group should take away from the day, not just the sights.

Questions Companies Ask
Can you fit a tour around our meetings?
Yes. Tell us when you are free, even if it is only a morning or the evening after a conference, and where you are staying or meeting. We start from your hotel or office and finish wherever your next appointment is.
Can our families join, or come on a separate day?
Yes. Families are most of what we do. While you are in meetings, your partner and children can have their own day, planned around their ages and pace, and you can join them afterwards.
Do you interpret at business meetings?
We help with the conversation on a visit: introductions, questions on a factory floor or a shop tour, and the small talk over dinner. For contract negotiations or technical meetings that need a professional interpreter, we tell you so and you should book one.
Can you book our hotels, flights or a coach?
No. Hotels, flights and coaches are booked by you, your travel agent or your event company. We work alongside them and handle the day on the ground: the plan, the guiding and the coordination.
How many people can you take?
Our days are private and built for small groups. Up to five guests travel in one private car; on foot we can take a small team. Tell us the number and we will tell you honestly what works.
How do we pay, and can you invoice the company?
We send a quote with a secure online payment link. If your company needs an invoice or a receipt in the company’s name, tell us when you enquire.
We are a travel agency. Can we book you for our clients?
Yes. Tell us about your clients and the dates. We guide the day ourselves and work to your brief.
